Sitting ‘Round Town
We are pleased to have Leonard Marcel Roshi and
Br. Mark Filut OCSO lead our local sittings, giving talks and/or
providing opportunities for interviews. Donation envelopes marked
“for Teacher Support” will be available at all sittings.

First Saturday retreats in Bethany House at
the Trappist Abbey,
Lafayette, Oregon
9:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon (Arrive by 8:45 at the latest)
Although the formal retreat ends at noon, sitters are welcome to
return to the hall for sitting from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. Usually,
a timekeeper will be on duty.

An introduction to sitting will be offered
by our teachers before each Saturday retreat. Designed for those
who are new to the practice of sitting prayer or meditation, these
20-30 minute workshops will begin at 8:15 A.M. at Bethany House.
Weekly Sittings
Weekly sittings are held in Portland, Port Angeles, WA, and Corvallis, OR. There are opportunities for private interviews when a teacher is present.
Portland Area Sittings
Monday evening zazen from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the Stones and Clouds Zendo in Lake Oswego most Mondays.
Dokusan/interviews will be offered. Cushions, benches, and stools
are available.
Zazenkai, followed by a study group, is conducted at the zendo from 9:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
usually on the third Saturday in February, April, June, September, and November.
Other areas of interest are a reading/study group and dojo
leadership training (tanto, ino, jisha and jikijitsu).

Monday evenings, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. (except Labor Day) at the Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center (CMLC), 128 SW 9th St., Corvallis.
