Sandi's Vintage Ginny Ginger and Muffie Dolls
Hi, I'm Sandi and I enjoy collecting Ginnys and Nancy Ann Muffie dolls. I just love these little 8" beauties as they make me smile! Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you will visit often. I'm related to Jennie Graves who is my Mother's first cousin. Jennie mother Annie was the sister of Alfred C. Fuller, founder of the Fuller Brush Co. I also had the privilege of meeting my Uncle Alfred, who I understand was instrumental in helping Jennie in the Vogue doll story. I admire Jennie. When her father died, she was 15 years old and the eldest of four children. She gave up her education and went to work to help augment the family income. Her love for sewing and designing small outfits eventually lead her to start the Vogue Doll Company. Jennie visited us in Oregon in 1952, at which time she brought my two cousins and me a Ginny doll and the 1952 pink chest with drawer. I also lost my childhood Muffie, I purchase in 1953--picture is below.A few years later, I fell in love with Cosmpolitan Ginger. Like many ladies, I started out just to purchases the two I had lost and now!, here I am with a "HUGE" collection between Ginny,
Muffie and Ginger. My purpose for this website is to show collectors pictures of dolls and to give information that will help identify outfits for these dolls I collect.
Thanks again for visting and I hope you will visit often!
When emailing me with questions, it would be helpful to include a picture of what you are referring too. I'm glad to help but without a picture, it is very hard to visulaize what you are referring to! Keep in mind, I'm not an appraiser. Condition of your doll and if she mint or played with will make a difference in her value. I would suggest purchasing a book that gives an idea of what the dolls are worth!
