At first they appeared to be smaller than what he was use to, but then he had never been on the front lines of a major conflict so space in itself was on short order. He retrieved his medical bag, double checking all the equipment and headed out. His first stop would be to meet with the CAG of NC-17. He passed countless numbers of people rushing here and there. Several of them had their noses stuck in maps or data pads. Life here was a rush to say the least. He tried on several occasions to stop some one to get directions to the CAG's office, but they just kept on proceeding on their course to where ever it was they were in a hurry to get to. Getting a bit frustrated, He figured he would use his gifted size for some thing. Just as another human was about to pass him by, Gollan took a step to his left and stiffened up. The man walked right into him. "Ouch dam watch.........Ahhh." "Pardon me, can you please direct me to the CAG of NC-17", Requested Toc. Starring at the biggest Klingon he had ever seen, the young crew member of the StarBase quickly closed his jaw and averted his eyes..Then looking back after back pedaling a step or two, pointed and said, "Take the turbolift down three decks exit and take the corridor all the way around his office door is marked." "Thank you. You have been most helpful.", Replied Toc. Gollan left the crewman to stair after him..He shook his head and continued about his business. Scene: CAG NC-17's Office. The door chimed. "Yeah come in."Stated Pappy Gollan Toc entered the office of the Marine Officer. Pappy had been pouring over some star charts and schematics of the enemy ships. "Doc, good to see ya. You get your things all settled in?" "I felt that settling in would be a minor problem best suited for time when I may not be needed else where.",Replied Toc as he stood with one arm behind his back in a modified position of parade rest. "Ahh I ah see. Well Look, I'm fairly busy, but I'll have one of the pilots give you a quick escort to the facilities that you will be working out of. Right now we are stretched on man power, so don't keep him tied up long." "I see no purpose in tying up anyone.", Replied Toc. "Yeah well ahh thats just a figure of speech CMDR.",Stated Pappy. Tapping his com badge, Pappy spoke, "LT.Martin report to my office." "Right away sir." came the distant reply. In a matter of minutes, LT(jg)Calvin, Martin entered Pappy's office and stood at attention. "Reporting as ordered Sir." "At ease LT. This is LTCMDR Gollan Toc. He is our new Flight Surgeon. Take him to his medical facilities. Answer his questions as best you can then get back to your other duties.",Ordered Pappy. "Yes sir.",replied Martin. "Sir if you will follow me please.",requested Martin. "Thankyou for the escort Sir.",said Toc as he turned to leave then stopped. "Sir, I will want to receive all the medical files you have on the pilots sir." "Martin wait outside for the CMDR." "Yes sir." Martin exited the office and waited just beyond the door. "CMDR. I need not tell you that we are at war. Were hard pressed for every available pilot as it stands. I won't tell you how to do your job, I'm just want to make sure that you understand just how strained we are here and we need every man we can get." "Sir I have no intention of hindering your ability to send these pilots out. I will however prevent anyone from flying if I believe they are unfit. Although that order can be overridden, I would make a full report as to such an order. Before I ground some one, I will speak with you on the matter. I think that is about as lenient as I can be sir.",Replied Toc. "Thats agreeable then CMDR. Ok then don't let me keep you, besides I've work to do." LTCMDR Gollan Toc departed the CAG's office and was escorted to his own. It was a whirl wind of activity. There were several people already sitting on table getting bandaged up by nurses for minor injuries and cuts. Some had dark bruises on their for heads the size of hand print. Others were being placed into splints for various broken or sprained appendages. Some took notice of him while others didn't. Nurses and medical techs. went from patient to patient tending to their needs. One patient sat on the floor holding on to her left hand. Seeing no one else tending to the woman, Gollan stepped over to her. He kneeled down to prevent himself from being any more intimidating to others who were not as tall as he. The woman's face registered shock at first but settled down observing the StarFleet uniform. She saw a black bag being carried by the Klingon and only guessed that he was associated with the medical profession. In his best soothing Klingon voice Gollan spoke, "Hello, I'm a doctor. I see your wrist appears to be injured. Let me take a look at it." She was surpassed at the soft touch of this Klingon officer. His giant hands engulfed her own. He was gentle and caring. He did not poke or prod the injury. Reaching into his medical bag, he removed a marrow regenerator. Placing it just centimeters from her wrist, Toc clicked the switch on and started to slowly rotate in circles along the wrist line. "This will help repair the bone in your wrist. It has been broken. No signs indicate that it is miss aligned or appears to be at an odd angle. All though your wrist will be repaired, Do not put to much strain on it for twenty four hours. Give your bone marrow a chance to completely heal itself. These things only enhance or speed up the procedure. I don't completely heal the injury as to much technological medicine has a tendency to make the body lazy in its job to repair itself." Toc had made three passes around the young woman's wrist. The swelling had subsided and the skin coloring had started to return. He turned off the marrow enhance and returned it to his bag. He helped the woman stand. She smiled some what and thanked him. "What is your name.",Asked Gollan Looking down, then up at him as she slowly started to stretch her wrist, she said," Mary. Ens.Mary Givings." "Well Ens.I expect to see you if you have any further needs."replied Toc. He quickly turned and set to work on another patient. It would be a long day. ************************************************************************************************ NRPG: Hope this meets the proper format.
