Natale, MD" Subject: [INDIGO][DANTEXF] SB ALIGHIERI: Back to Normal Location: SB ALIGHIERI, DS-230 Stardate: 100615.0530 FMD: 6.1500 Scene: Command Center The Command Center was unusually busy this afternoon as various individuals from engineering rummaged around repairing the damage left in the wake of the Dalriadan attack. It had only been four hours since the Dalriada had left the system but LT jg Roebuck and his men already had the station back to fifty percent of normal. They projected having most major systems up and running by the following day and the majority of the repairs done by the end of the week barring any further problems. Ensign Larrimer, the acting chief of sciences in the wake of LT jg Heath's death, had been left in charge of Ops while LCDR Windstar had taken a walk through the station to personally assess the damage and assist in anyway possible. Rumor had it that LT jg Saevok, the current security chief, was going to take over the role of chief of the science department to make way for a new security chief coming from OMEGA. She'd believe it when she saw it. For now, she was in charge and would act accordingly. Her musings were interrupted by the ensign at COM. "Ensign Larrimer, there is an incoming message from Hulad for LCDR Windstar." She looked at the young Andorian at COM, his antennae twitching in anticipation. Tapping her commbadge, she said, "Ensign Larrimer to LCDR Windstar. There is an incoming message for you from Hulad." Over a nearby speaker she heard Tao's voice ring out, [I'm currently in Engineering. Can you transfer the message to the CEO's office?] She motioned for the COM to make the transfer as she replied, "Transfer in progress, sir. Ops out." ************************* FMD: 6.1510 Scene: CEO's Office ************************* Tao had been talking with Merlin about the repairs to the station when Ops had informed him of the message from Hulad. Greyclaw had been resting and Tao was on a tour of the station. The viewscreen in Merlin's office briefly displayed the requisite UFP symbol before being replaced by the visage of LMAJ Michael Kingston. Tao smiled and greeted the marine first officer. "Michael, what can I do for you?" he asked, hoping there wasn't more trouble brewing on the planet's surface. {I heard about the Dalriada pulling up stakes and heading out. Rumor here has it they're heading for OMEGA.} Tao frowned slightly at the thought. "That's what the preliminary data from the probe seems to indicate. For now, though, we seem to be in the clear." Michael inclined his head at the news. {There are quite a few civilians and family members who want to know when they can return to the station. I suspect the Huladians are also wondering the same thing. They have been extremely gracious during this crisis but I think they are ready to get their lives back to normal.} Tao shook his head in understanding, realizing that for many of the Huladians, this had been their first contact with the Federation citizens from the station, as well as the first time many of the civilians aboard the station had met the Huladians. "Tell Kythan and the other leaders that we can begin shuttling the civilians back to the station tomorrow, and we thank them for their assistance." {Will do, Tao.}, Michael replied. {By the way, there is someone here who wants to say hello. He's been a big help down here.} Michael Kingston's face was replaced by that of Tao's newly adopted son, Ethan Salinger. The young boy's green eyes sparkled as he smiled at Tao. [I'm glad to see you're alright, Tao. Were any of my things damaged in the attack?] Tao could hear the beginnings of puberty setting in as Ethan spoke. Tao made a mental note to himself to read up on human adolescence at the next opportunity to prepare himself for what may lie ahead. "Our quarters suffered some minor damage but it should be repaired by the time you arrive tomorrow. Ask LMAJ Kingston to put you on the first shuttle home, alright?" said Tao to his charge. {OK. I have to go help the marines to spread the word about everyone going home, so I'll have to go for now. See you tomorrow.}, Ethan called back as he left the range of the monitor on his end. Michael Kingston came back into view. {Pretty gung-ho kid you have there, Tao. Bet he'll make a fine Starfleet Officer someday. I guess I'll talk to you again tomorrow. Until then, good luck with the repairs. Kingston out.} With that his face was replaced by the UFP symbol again. Tao turned to Merlin and said, "I'll have Ensign Larrimer reassign any science personnel with an engineering background to you temporarily to assist in the repairs to the station. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. I need to find CDR Yssar and inform him of the impending return of the civilians." Merlin nodded and Tao left his office to meet with Greyclaw in the Commander's ready room. NRPG: All: Just a quick post to get things rolling. Here come the civilians back from Hulad.
