It was not difficult to pick out the slim Klingon officer. At just under 186 centimeters, the junior officer was somewhat shorter than the average Klingon warrior. In fact, Jodds was taller than him by a little more than 5 centimeters. However, the lieutenant commander did not feel the least bit inclined to test the junior officer's resolve. He had read the Klingon's interesting, to say the least, service record. The personnel officer identified himself, then asked for and accepted the PADD containing the lieutenant's orders. "Mister K'Aft, the admiral is busy with fleet business. I know that you haven't been briefed, since the news should only now be reaching Star Fleet Command. The USS LEXINGTON was destroyed five days ago and we are now at war with the Dalriadan Alliance. The Dante System has been invaded, but the corrior appears to still be secure." The commander was walking the lieutenant back towards the core shuttle bays. "We don't know why they haven't struck at the base yet. Perhaps they are simply waiting for reinforcements to make the assault easier or perhaps they intend to strike at OMEGA itself. "This PADD contains all of the information that we have on the forces attacking Dante and descriptions of the base and starships assigned to the system. This second PADD is an one use PADD for the Commander of the DANTE Expeditionary Force. That should be Commodore Mirtox if he has not become a casualty.
