The Yorktown was hunting.. Captain Katz sat down and thought of the situation that was unfolding in front of him. It did not look good at all. His CMO had been severely injured or killed. He still had not received his 2O the ship was being effected by this. There was only so much that Cmdr Gibson and he could do. It also appeared that the clocked ship was not really clocked but was an illusion by the KRAGGON.. Katz did not trust this fact. How could the KRAGGON have that technology. What he had seen so far in the Dante system was not to take anything at face value. Yet there was some good news. The Yorktown had new information on the pirate hierarchy. The space that the Yorktown was in was right in now was the Black panthers space who were allied with another clan called the Cobra Clan. The information that Serv Aries and Alan Torse pirate defectors had given stated that the main pirate base for the two allied clans was near were the Yorktown was. This had been proven with the Yorktown sensors that had picked up odd power fluctuations in the area. Also from what information they had gather the alliance between the two clans was shaky at best. Once the federation had appeared the pirate clans had allied together. Serv Aries and Alan were not sure how many more clans there were. However they were sure there was no more then 4. It seemed that the pirate clans kept to themselves not communicating with other clans that they were not allied with. The clans history went back for at least 300 years and was marked with bloody conflict seeing parts of space inter-changing between each clan.. Captain Katz train of thought was interrupted by Lt.Gorhm "Captain I'am picking up heavy power gains in the vicinity" shouted Gorhm "Put as much power to the shields now!" said Katz. Out of nowhere hidden short range defenses of the hidden pirate base awoke from there sleep detecting the Yorktown, and lashed out at the Yorktown. The Yorktown was hit at point blank range the shields took as much of the damage as possible, yet the shields could hold so much. Captain Katz was flung from his sit and hit the main view screen. The wind was knocked out from him but he gain his composure. The rest of the bridge was also thrown around like rag dolls. "Status report!" shouted Katz as he got up and headed for his chair "Shields at 50% sir Our shields took the burnt of the attack. I am receiving minor causality reports from all decks. Also sir warp engines are off-line." said Gorhm "Katz to Ne'telkmar I need those warp engines pronto. Also give me all the power you can spare to weapons and shields" said Katz "Aye sir I'll do my best" said Ne'telkmar "Gorhm return fire to those short range placements" said Katz "Aye sir" said Gorhm. The USS Yorktown fired with her impressive weapon. Stream after stream of phaser fire hit the short range placements destroying them. What wasn't destroyed with the phasers was destroyed by the photon torpedo spread. SCENE: Hidden Pirate Base The sudden appearance of the federation ship had thrown the pirate base into chaos. The fighter bay was inoperative due to a fighter returning after an attack on the federation ship had crashed and exploded destroying vital components. It would take another day to fix.. The were trapped.. The leaders of clans Cobra and Black Panther clan did not know what to do. For the first time they were both presented with a situation that seemed impossible to escape. It was only a matter of time before the federation ship found them. Once they did it would be the end of them. Reinforcements if they arrived would not be available for another day. "This is your fault your clan can not even keep a simple federation ship entering our space!" shouted the Leader of clan Cobra "It is not my clans fault if your clan pilots were not incompetent fools they would have destroyed the federation ship ages ago." screamed the leader of Black Panther "Why if it was not for the federation ship I would kill you right now" said the leader of Cobra clan "Yes if the federation ship was not here I would call off this alliance and kill you myself" said the leader of clan Black Panther "We have no choice we must destroy this base, if it falls in the federation hands.." said the leader of clan Cobra "Agreed it must not fall into the federation hands. We must escape our ship is fueled and ready to leave.. All the key information has been transferred to our ships computer banks." said the leader of clan Black Panther "Yes it has thank god we were smart enough to do so, the main meeting with all the clans is soon. Important news will be announced then."said the leader of Clan Cobra. "Good then let us proceed with the plan the total destruction of this base" said the leader of clan Black Panther. Both leaders of clan Black Panther and Cobra walked up to a computer terminal. Placing both hands on separate panels the process began. The computer checked both palms and verified that they were the proper ones. It quickly scanned the retains of each man standing before it. Satisfied it awaited the command it was designed for "Computer began self destruct sequence" said both leaders "Time for destruction" asked the computer "10 minutes" said both leaders "Please confirm" stated the computer Scene: USS Yorktown "Ens Makina plot in a course ahead of the short range defense placements, I want you to also plot an escape route" said Katz "Aye sir computing course awaiting orders" Said Makina "Sir why haven't any fighters attack us yet?" asked Cmdr Gibson "I don't now that's what scares me" said Katz "Captain Katz to Doctor Forest" said Katz "Yes captain" answered the voice of the tired doctor "Prepare for more casualties were about to enter what we belive is the pirate base" said Katz "Captain I hope you realize that were are severely understaffed and with the sudden loss of Doctor Jones we can't handle as much"said Forest "I know Doctor hang on just little bit more" said Katz cutting the communication "Ens Johg I want you to coordinate with Lt.Gorhm on a strategy on getting this pirate base disabled" said Katz "Yes sir I belive I have something in mind" smiled Jo hg "Good make sure it works I don't now how much time we will have, expect heavy resistance" said Katz "Ens Makina bring us in" said Katz Scene: Pirate base Both Leaders of Clan Black Panther and Clan Cobra entered the space ship that was hidden in there secret launching bay. Both did not bother to look back as they boarded. They quickly headed to the front and started the engines disabled the force field and left. They did not car that over 25,000 of there comrades would die in the in suing explosion. They had the information that the needed to rebuild. It was the pirate way that those who could survive would.. Scene: USS Yorktown Sir I'am detecting one spacecraft leaving the pirate base at high speed, its entered warp" said Lt Gorhm "I don't like the fell of this.." said Katz "Cmdr I want you to lead an away team to the pirate base find out as much information as possible take prisoners if you can. I want you all back in one piece" said Katz "Aye sir" said Gibson "Katz to Ne'telkmar status report" said Katz Scene: Pirate Base 07:30 minutes left to detonation >>> All: Finally was able to get out a post. I am finished my year and should have a great deal of time on my hands. I'am starting the summer term next week, however I am only taking 2 classes so.. All: Will the Yorktown escape the explosion of the pirate ship? Will we get any info on the pirate clans? Will anyone escape?
