Lucky, it won't be hard to convert. My last post was not at 3.0950, but 3.0920, and Scott's was at 3.0930 to 3.1010. Now, to convert, MD 3.1010 is equivalant to 3.0910, or one hour behind. Consider it "Daylight Savings Time. . .in Space!" Katz opened a channel to the runabouts. "Yorktown to runabouts. . ." ordered Katz, "Gunnison, return to YORKTOWN. Makina, you and the Logan will escort the Malad and Dr Jones to SB ALIGHIERI." "To finish," said the techie, slightly put-off that Katz had assumed he was finished, "The AM/M warhead dissipeared." "Excuse me?" said Gibson, raising an eyebrow. "It appeared to be an illusion using cloaking technology," said the Techie. Gibson and Katz looked at each other with a concerned expression. If the Kraggons could produce such an illusion, then Federation interests in the system might be in trouble. + + + FMD 3.0840 Kraggon/Pirate HQ Base + + + The leader of the largest Pirate clan watched with interiest as the YORKTOWN and her escort runabouts turned away from his ships. Two runabouts weaved quickly back toward the federation starbase, the starship waiting for the third runabout to enter the main shuttlebay before continuing, at a much slower pace, as to aviod collisions with the asteriods that could damage the ship, even if that was only one in twenty-five asteriods. The leader knew not of the Dalderian attack, though he would soon. Very soon. As it was, he wondered what could threaten the federation enough to recall that ship from on track to the Pirate HQ. It was certanly worth investigating + + + FMD 3.0850 USS MALAD + + + Dr Frost stopped to look into the Cryo-Statis chamber. But before she could think, the sound a panel exploding rang in her ears. What she didn't know that the explosion had been caused by a powerfeed overload. It was the result of jury-rigging the cryo-chamber. But she did know that the engineer who had set up the chamber was stumbling toward it, clutching his burnt face. Frost grabbed the engineer before he could disturb the delicate equitment, but that was when he lost conciousness. His hand swished around and smashed an EPS/FC power converter. Frost pulled him away from the equitment and then to the deck just in time. The entire Cryo-Array blew, sending sparks and shrapnel cascading over them. + + + FMD 3.0915 ALIGHIERI docking bay + + + Makina looked around. The YORKTOWN had arrived just a few minutes earlier and he had just gotten his orders. The MALAD would stay at ALIGHIERI for repairs, and he would ferry the YORKTOWN's new OPS officer to the YORKTOWN on the LOGAN. He was looking forward to meeting the new officer, remembering how just a few short months ago it was he who was the new officer just coming abord. He wondered what had become of the Marine he had travled on the D-warp shuttle with.
