SD: 100518.1300 EDT FMD: 6.0850 Scene: Deck 3 [Major..This is Sergeant Krom we have engaged the boarders. We have them pinned between both corridor junctions but we cannot hold our position for long.] The turbolift opened and he stepped out. "Krom, this is Major Sho hold your position. I'm on level three now and I am closing in on your position." [Yes, Sir.] Another turbolift opened up ahead of him, and several Security personnel emerged phasers at the ready. Seeing Sho barreling down toward their position the began to run towards the skirmish before Sho overtook them. Sho and the Security Team backup arrived at the junction. Marines fired around the corner at the boarders, who were returning fire. Sho tapped his badge,"All units engaging boarders, this is Sho. Prepare for "Maelstrom"." [Sir this First Lieutenant Topak, we are ready to deploy Toka on your mark.] Sho pulled a grenade off and yelled "Now Lieutenant! Toka!" as he threw it. It flew out in the air arching and detonated midair in front of the boarders, emitting a blinding light and deafening boom. The boarders were ill prepared and were completely stunned by the sudden attack. "Now Close in!" screamed Sho and both teams, which were protected by the modified helmets remained unfazed by the Toka, surrounded the boarders and disarmed them. Sho tapped his badge, "Borodin.. Stone.. Boarders detained. Send reinforcements to escort our guests to the brig before we investigate the breached airlock." Sho looked at the prisoners, which now had their hands on their heads. "Krom if the move or resist..kill them. Otherwise wait for our friends to pickup our guests. Looking at the prisoners he said through the helmet's speaker, "Welcome to the NOVA..Enjoy your stay." Sho smiled from within his helmet. "Computer, end simulation. Authorization Borodin 1-5-Kilo-Omicron" Pavel's voice called from the Holodeck. Almost immediately, the Dalriadan Shock Troops had faded and the passageways of the NOVA faded and the familiar black and yellow holodeck grid appeared. Pavel walked to his Marine counterpart, removing his helmet. "I think we're ready, Sho." The TAC Officer smiled. Sho was not smiling. "You knew that this was a drill?" the Timbori inquired. "Actually no," Pavel replied. "But I think that our top NCO's had something to do with this, either that or the Captain." "Perhaps.." "Either way, we were sucessful in repelling the Dalriada. We're ready, Major." Scene: Marine Deck FMD: 6.0910 The Rapid Response Team had formed up on the Marine Deck, with the Marine Sergeant Major with one Platoon, and Senior Chief Danila Sa'a'hn with the other Platoon. Both Pavel and Sho were standing at the middle of the formation. Pavel was the one who spoke first. "Ladies and gentlemen. We've accomplished a lot in a few short days. The training has been tough and rigourous. Yet, despite the loyalties that we have to our respective sections, or Batallions, we, Security and Marines alike, have seen through the differences to work together as a team, even learning from each other, the 'tricks of the trade' that is unique to our departments. "We may be in battle soon, and there may be enemy troops attempting to board the ship, it may be one man, it could be an enitre company of Dalriadan Shock Troops. We must be prepared for every scenario. And we are prepared. Major?" Sho stepped to address the formation. --------------------- NRPG: Jeff: Better? Dennis: I think that this will have to do.
