SD 100615.1120 SB OMEGA:in anksha's assighned room Anksha inspected the boxes of her belongings and found them intact. She then turned her attention to the room that she was given for her temporary stay at SB Omega, it was clean and neat but spartan in the style suiting a starfleet base. The sink and small food unit were built to slide back into the wall with a panel covering them seamlessly, the bed was low and in the corner, its sheets pulled taught in crisp folds. Her cat was curled up on one of the pillows, he was obviously gratefull to be out of the crate that he had been transported in. The room was quiet, too quiet. Anksha had been ordered to stay on the base untill the Yamato docked, she was not going to hide in her room all this time watching her cat sleep, she would go find something to do. She exited the room and told the computer to lock the door to her voice code, and walked down the long hall to the stations central observation deck. There were people milling around and talking, most of them were races she was familiar with, but a few were from races she had no concept of. Everyone seemed to be gossiping, there were a few people in starfleet officers uniforms walking in there quick military step to other parts of the station. Everything seemed buisy and alive, but there was a tension here that Anksha had not expected. Anksha felt fear and suspicion in the air, her half batazoid senses picked out the emotions and her critical mind tried to make sense of them. This was more than the usual fear of war, there was something happening here. She approached a group of farengi that were standing in a close group and tried to overhear there conversation. The Farengi are well known for there information, and they will tell anything worth knowing for the right price. "Im telling you something is deffinately wrong! Supply ships are being checked throughly, my shipments have all been delayed and they are tightening security on all levels of the base, communications are being scanned and coded, all the higher officers are called into private meetings and they wont say why.. I think there is a warship on the way thats going to blow the whole station to bits! There is no profit in death I assure you, if this station goes up in flames i dont plan on being here." One of the other Farengi spotten Anksha and held up a hand for his fellow to be quiet, He looked at her with suspicion. "Come gentlemen," He said loudly, "lets go to my bar and we can talk about this further over a bottle or two of my finest Arulian spirits, Which of you is buying gentlemen? You Ag'renor? Come come I know you made a fist full of latinum at my gaming tables last night!" The other Farengi followed him with cautious looks over there shoulders at Anksha, obviously there was more going on here than first seemed. She wandered over towards a group of Vulcans who were looking out over the crowd and talking in reserved voices. Anksha sat on a bench near them, a potted plant the only thing between her and one of there backs. "I will not speculate on the situation, as you know that is no our way. However we should go over the facts one more time," "I do not believe the facts are in question," one of the men interupted "However we do not have all the facts and we have been discussing what little facts we have all afternoon, obviously we do not have enough of the facts to paint a picture of the situation. I think we should try to ask the INDIGOXO face to face about what is going on here." "I tried that Veridan" the first vulcan man said with no small measure of exaspiration, for a vulcan anyway, "He was not available to speak with." "Well we must keep on trying. We must find out why our messages have not been sent to the vulcan fleet, and why we have not been able to contact the Ambasador. We cant give up." They turned and walked down the stairway still argueing very intently for vulcans. Anksha sighed, she knew no more about what was going on now than when she left her room. She decided to spend the remainder of her free time in the holodeck, and in her room. At least that way she wouldent have to deal with the crews mental state. It would be easy to ignore the fear since there was nothing she could do about it anyway, This star base has to have a councellor of its own doesnt it?
