(NRPG: I hope I got the MD right. This is after we left OMEGA and before reaching our destination. Man I'm paranoid about using MD's). ********************* Stardate:100312.1700 MD: 1.1100 Cassandra sat with Dr Mara, and Counselor Mahs for lunch. It was the lunch that Mara had asked Stephens to join her for to share the information that Cassandra had on the Dalriada from her last encounter with them. Mahs had been helping out in sickbay when lunch rolled around so he had been asked to come along. Now as the YAMATO headed for her current mission involving the Dalriada, Stephens thoughyt back to her former encounter with the Dalriada and shared it with Mara and Mahs. Sadly Cassandra'' information wasn't much, but she had offered to tell what she could. Stephens tried to sum up her information as best she could for the others. Her former ship the HOOD had been called to investigate not only the lose of the USS RICKOVER, but unsual happenings on a Dalriadan planet. Upon their arrival at the last location of the RICKOVER there was little ship debris to examine, so two undercover away teams were sent to gather any information planetside. Cassandra's team, which was composed of the XO, the Counselor, and two security officers, went to a good size Dalriadan city. Cassandra continued, the Dalriadan city seemed a pleasent one-it had a homey look about it at first glance, but one only had to observe the armed military personnel on every corner or the small gatherings of Dalriada ranting and spreading false propaganda about the Federation, to think otherwise. The people scrutinized the team intensly-one could sense they dislike of visitors. Eventhough tremendous extremes had been taken to make the team fit in-false names, backround information, an altered and hidden shuttle, Cassandra still had felt trapped as if every move the team made was being watched. Cassandra finished her telling with the mention of the team gathering all they needed to know and thankfully getting out without being discovered. Unfourtunately, the HOOD crew was not home free, things turned nasty soon after when the true perpetrator behind everything became known. It had been a race called the Sidhe-a race more advance then the Federation, or the Dalriada. It was because of them the the HOOD had only barely made it home. Cassandra's eyes got dark at that moment as she remembered the HOOD's last days-in sad shape and with little crew limping home. "That is about it," said Cassandra to Dr. Mara and Mahs, "I don't know if it helped much, but it told of my experience with the Dalriada." After lunch Cassandra popped into Sci. While she was there she received word from Bergan about sending up an update on Science's operations and sent it right off. Cassandra then looked out her office at Scie. Everything was operating at a high level, and the staff were doing their jobs, but there was still tension and apprehension in the air. Cassandra sighed, she hated this waiting, waiting to see what the YAMATO would face in sector 237, and hopefully not succumb to the same fate as the HOOD.
