Morgan sent off the initial report before the system was engaged. It was pretty much the same one that he had sent up to the bridge of the HOOD. He imagined that he could probably get better performance out of it this time around, mainly because the one that created the device wasn't hovering over his shoulder watching every thing that he did. Now that the system was up and running, he could fine tune it to the YAMATO. That was an option that he didn't get on the HOOD. Even the most minute change was forbidden. Morgan looked around his office. He took note of everything that was there...a picture of Serra on his desk, an unfinished letter to his parents, a news clipping from home, and a paper hat. He picked up the hat and looked at it carefully. He dared not try to unfold it, due to the fact that he wouldn't be able to put it back the way it was. With all his skills and training, something so simple eluded him. He put the hat on, amazed that Ryoga had gotten the size exact. "Do all department heads get to wear those, or is it just an engineering thing?" a female voice asked from behind. He wheeled around at the sound and looked at the two security officers standing in the door. "No, darling, only I get to wear this contraption. The captain's orders. For my first bridge watch. It's a tradition, or so i'm told." The security officers started to laugh. "So, Serra, what brings you to my neck of the woods?" "My job. I just finished my shift watching over your new toy, and thought that you may want to catch a bite." she snickered a bit before continuing, "But if you'd rather stay here with your...ahem...hat, then I'll go alone." Morgan took the hat off and set it back on the desk. He rose out of the chair and walked up beside her. "Dinner sounds good. Your place or mine?" She walked out of the room, and headed for a turbolift. "I was thinking of the forward lounge. After my check up, ofcourse. It is almost THAT time, y'know." A small shiver went down Morgan's back at that thought. Yes, it was almost that time... Respectfully submitted, LT. Morgan Wolfe CEO USS YAMATO NRPG: okies, a short one...but it's all i could get out since i'm about 4000 miles from my normal computer...i'm hoping to get a real one out when i get back home... "Follow orders? No chance. Orders are for those who don't know what to do, and that isn't my problem." -Lt (jg)Morgan Wolfe %%% overflow headers %%% Cc: Josh Young , jyoung@eaze.net, Pat Schumacher , Les Chappelle , Janis Hill , Vicke Denniston , vicden1@yahoo.com, Kristine Berg , Karen Fainges , Alexs Thompson , Jim Littleton , Jeffrey Jenkins , Jeffery Trock , George Harmon %%% end overflow headers %%%
