	The selector on the M16 LSW/LMG open bolt version has only two positions unlike that of the standard M16. The markings are also more like the AR15 in that there is only "SAFE" and "FIRE". The bolt catch is also different in that it has a small "leg" that protrudes from the bottom to cover the magazine catch bar. This is so that when the magazine release button is pushed the bolt catch deactivated and the bolt carrier is dropped onto the sear. (Gun was dirty when picture was taken)

	The front sight has two horizontal Picatinny rails mounted on it. This mount also incorporates the sling swivel studs. On the A3 version the bayonet lug was added back due to the bi pod being relocated to the spigot mount below the hand guard. The bi pod is a Parker-Hale type and can be quickly deployed or removed with just a push of a catch.

	The trigger group components are different than those of the standard M16. The picture below shows that there is no disconnector in the trigger and the sear notch on top of the hammer. The auto sear is clearly different as well and is now a multi- part component. (Gun dirty at time of picture)
