Big Daddy's Projects

A Dining table I built last year. Solid walnut top, 1 1/2" final thickness. roughly 40" x 66" long. turned maple legs and maple aprons.

A closeup of my turning job on the legs. Maple with a piece of walnut sandwiched inbetween for good measure.
A closeup of the top. I bookmatched a piece of sapwood together in the center .. was a neat touch.

Mahogany / Maple computer desk. Dovetailed drawers.

A maple ply and walnut side table / cabinet ... loml loves to store stuff next to the chair, so made her this to hold all her goodies. Uses sliding doors in grooves in the top and bottom of the piece. Finished with gloss poly and wax. (Yeah i sanded through the ply a little on the doors - i call it my own personal touch!)

An oak side table to serve as a peninsula off of our kitchen counters. All solid oak from the top down .. mortise and tenoned legs .. only oops i did on this one was tapered the legs on the outside, not the mortise side .. oh well, live and learn .. I like it though. Finish is a spray on satin poly.

Although not a real fine woodworking project, just thought I'd show off our new dining room .. did the trim work, paint job, molding and floor(this was the floor that had the cracked tile) .. (laminate mahogany). Dining table was my wife's grandma's.

This is a bookshelf I made for my wife's Grandma for giving us her dining set. She changed all of her furniture to oak, and I asked her if there was one thing she wanted what was it .. and it was this .. so I promptly made one for her ...

Here's our redone kitchen floor. Laminate oak flooring.
