Milton Herbert Bancroft, was commissioned to paint 10 murals for the Court of Four Seasons for which he was paid a total of $10,000 a sum which paled by comparison to the more than $100,000 which Brangwyn received for his 8 murals. One of Bancrofts murals, Harvest, can be seen in the offices of Soka Gaki International located at 2450 17th Street, San Francisco, CA. 3 of his murals, Summer, Fruition and Autumn, are stored in the basement of the Veteran’s Home of California. 3 others, Man Receiving Instruction in Nature’s Laws, Art Crowned by Time and Winter, are stored in the basement of the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, and three others, Spring, Seedtime, and Festivity, have been lost or stolen.
