Good job Jay. I bet Norris was a big help also.

As the son of a Minnesota State Trooper, I suppose it was inevitable I would develop a fascination for the special automobiles used by the Minnesota State Patrol. One of my earliest childhood memories was the view from my second floor bedroom. From there, I could look at the world just a few feet below with an entirely different perspective. It was from that perch I realized Dad’s 1965 Plymouth patrol car had a big gold star on its roof. I remember thinking how cool that was. I suppose I was all of three or four years old when I made the discovery and it has stuck with me after all these years.

My interest in the old State Patrol cars developed into a bit of a hobby. The result is this compilation of historical photos, specifications, and a bit of commentary about the vehicles of the Minnesota State Patrol from the Patrol’s first days in 1929 to the present.
