3/31/09 Finished Kathy's second commission, for her other granddaughter, Lindsay.  It's in my watercolor gallery, Lindsay's Mermaid and her Pets.  Again, my scanner yellows it a bit too much - I've got to figure out how to fix that.

I'm going to be doing another piece to donate to Relay for Life - they're having an auction here locally, and I know someone helping organize it, so that's kinda exciting.  I need to get started on it, I have an idea for an image, just need to research a little and get started!

3/18/09 Lauren Hansen, the proud new owner of my watercolor girl & dragon picture, sent me the name of the characters in the picture.  The girl is named Kalen (pronounced "kuh-LEEN") and the dragon is Pathalon.  Thank you Lauren! I hope you enjoy it for a long time, and I'm proud to know you liked it!

Little better about getting an update here.  Let's see.  Oberon/Salvation is moving again, if you're part of that 'Verse, stop in and join in! If you have a facebook page, and are interested in my ramblings about the TV I watched the night before, you'll find my new TV Blog there.  Is it worth reading? Well, I'm funny sometimes.  Otherwise, it's just my reviews/thoughts on the television I think is worth the time.

I've been hard at work at the ole sketch book.  Instead of just sketches, I've been doing illustrations, or whatever you call them.  12'x16' inked watercolors.  Some are already up in the gallery - watch for my new overhaul, in which all color pictures will be further divided into colored pencil and water color.  Seems appropriate, as I've been doing enough watercolors to make it worth it.

New art is always at the top, marked with a NEW!! to make them easy to find.  Remember, click on Arts --> Art Gallery.

03/01/09 Wow, has it been a whole two months? Wow.  Well, I HAVE been busy!  I got a commission on my birthday, and delivered "Girl and Dragon" (terrible name, but I have to find out what the little girl that received the picture names her) on Thursday, the 26th.  Very exciting!  After that, I got inspired to redo the sea serpent I was working on for Young, the Sushi chef, so I made a larger painting.  Both can be found in the gallery, under "colored" images.  They're sketched in pencil, inked with a fountain pen, colored with watercolor pencils, then I add a little flash with metallics.  The scanner did an awful job on the color, so I apologize for the poorer quality of the images.  Her skin isn't nearly that orange, and the sea serpent is much more vivid.  Ah, well.  Also, I may be sort of teaching an after school art class for the elementary school where the lady that bought the painting works at.  I'll know more in a few weeks, I'm kind of excited.  "How to draw a dragon" is the idea....

There's also a couple of new pieces under the inked pictures.  Enjoy!

12/26/08 Been playing with Miss Bimbo a lot (it's a fun website where you kinda play a fashion based game.  It's fun, silly, and has lots of fun clothes).  Anyway, a conversation on the forum there inspired me to make a set of clothes for an outfit.  I based it on Robin Hood, it was fun to make.  Under Dollz, you'll now see a link to Bimbo.  I'll be putting any and all clothes I make using my Bimbo there.

Bit of a long time between updates.  Had a real scary week - our kitty, Duncan, got sick, and we've been terrified we'd lose him.  The good news, he seems to be on the mend, and he's getting to be back to his old self.  Really makes you realize how much you love them when you come close to losing them.  You can see some pictures of him in the about me section - he's such a pretty kitty.

I haven't had much time to work on art, sad to say.  I miss it.  Did a little practice sketching, but nothing worth sharing.

Wow.  Long time between updates again.  Sorry about that.  I do have one new piece, "Serephina".  She's a minor character in the Superhero Play-by-post RPG Crown's Cross.  She basically exists only to fill my own character's shifts at work, so she can go out and be superheroey.  It's a word.  It is.  Back to playing City of Heroes - Look out for Shadesiren, Doc Canyon or Penny Gun if you live on Virtue Server.  Almost time for the Thanksgiving set up at work - that'll be a long night.  I haven't had much time for art, but I'm trying to get working on something, get back in the habit.  So - hopefully something else new soon!

08/05/08

Only four more days till my eleventh wedding anniversary, yay!  I'm afraid there hasn't been much in the way of updates, and I'm sorry for that.  Been very busy with work and The Oberon (See Link on the Right ----------------------->).

Things have gotten so exciting there!  Managed to make it to both Hellboy 2 and Dark Knight - in one day!  They were amazing!  I highly recommend them both!

There's also a Doll I made to go with the Faerie Tale, at the bottom of the story.  The actual project has been postponed, so I'll just save it all for later.

6/19/08

I've posted my 'twisted faerie tale' for the Something Offensive art exchange.  It's located under arts ->writing. It's an odd little mix of two faerie tales - oh, I won't spoil it.  Go read, and I hope you enjoy!

A while back, I opened up a cafepress shop.  I never have promoted it much (which would be why I haven't sold anything, lol!), so I thought it was about time I shared.  You'll find a wide variety of items there, most with my mischief faerie on them.  Please feel free to browse - now, if you see something you like in my art gallery, and you'd like to have it on a shirt, calendar, mug, whatever, please let me know - I can have the product set up with the image within approximately 24 hours for you to purchase.  There are very few restrictions on image choice - Anything that was created as a request or commission by someone else is not eligible (the item is reserved uniquely for the person it was created for, and myself).  I hope you find something you like, and if not, I still thank you for looking!

You'll find the link to the shop on my links page.

I finished my project from StudioMMO.  Well, I might go back and work on it more someday, but for now, I'm ready to look at something else for a while.  Worked on it all month, and you'll find it under arts, in the digital art gallery.  I really enjoyed working on it, and I learned a TON of great stuff from my fellow artists on Studio MMO.  They are such nice people, so helpful, willing to share, and they give GOOD advice - they aren't mean at all when they point out problems in a piece, and SO encouraging with not just saying "it's wrong' but also "try this, or maybe this to fix it, or maybe even something like this...".  I learned a lot about highlights from this project.  So exciting!

I'm starting work on the next project: Elemental Faeries!  I'm such a froud fan, I wanted to do something really great, and then I decided I wanted to keep the MMO theme, and I've decided to incorporate Unseelie Childe into the piece.

Few update-y things.

1) added some missing pieces to the sketched and digital galleries.  Not sure how I missed them, but there they are.  A few are WIP - works in progress.  I'll replace them when I finish them.

2) "For My Friends" This isn't really 'part of the site' - it's just a place for me to upload things I've done for a friend, like editing an AV for a forum or something.  A place to pick up requests, so to speak.  If I've made one for you, it should be there.  Otherwise, you're probably not going to be interested in that page.

3) Updated all my City of Heroes/Villains characters in the MMO section.  There was a free play weekend this weekend, so I went in and got fresh screenshots, made a note of everyone's powers, and claimed my free character slots - the new system will give people with alt-itis a FATAL dose.  You can buy up to 36!  Anyway, I have 15 now, so I can have some fun when we go back.  Playing DDO right now.  Will update that page soon!

5/04/08

I've added a new link here, called 'Games'.  Under that link, you'll find pages for all the MMORPGs I've played, and a few notable bits from the tabletop games I've played (Star Wars & D&D).  Hopefully once it's done, there will be some nice little bits about my different characters, as well as servers, etc.

4/29/08

So, wow, aother huge gap in my updates - sorry about that.  I haven't had much to add or talk about, what with work and my hubby's recent illness (he's fine now, yay!).  I've switched MMORPG's again, now we're trying D&D online, which is kinda cool, seeing as how I have this long history with the game.  It's a very very fun game, I like how it keeps the flavor of the tabletop game.

Still waiting for the announcement of the winner of the Draw  Down on Deviant art.  I'll make sure the pic has been added to my art gallery - it's Called "Sinful Fox on Patrol in King's Row".  Not my greatest pic, I think I like the original sketch better than the finished digital painting.

Just got myself some oil painting supplies - going to use that canvas my dad gave me ages ago, finally.  Hoping to do maybe a large oil painting of a dragon... something like that.  I hope I manage not to embarrass myself, that's all I really care about lol.  Painting has never been my forte.

1/11/08

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since my last update!  Check out the new piece in the digital section of the Art Gallery - I finished a picture of Kephy Two-Tails.  Kephy's a character I've had a long time - and a lot of love for.  Tried some new stuff on this one, I'm pretty pleased with it, for the most part.
