Nuclear Sludge Cookies

These are a special cookie I used to make as a teenager - named by my first real boyfriend, Shawen.  I recommend making a HALF recipe - this makes a HUGE amount of cookies, and you will need a GIANT bowl at the end! If you have a lot of kids around, or a lot of cookie lovers, take a shot at a full batch! They store and freeze really well!

6 eggs
1 lb. brown sugar
1 1/2 tspn vanilla
2 cups gran. sugar
4 tspns baking soda
1 cup solid butter
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 cup milk
1.5 lbs peanut butter (any style or brand - use your favorite!)
9 cups oatmeal

Any Combination of the following:
1/2 lb chocolate (or other flavor) chips
1/2 pound M&Ms
1/4 cup chopped nuts

Combine all ingredients. For interesting flavor, melt butter before mixing in. Forms balls of dough on cookie sheet, flatten slightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Makes about 8 dozen or so, depending on size of dough balls.

These were our favorite cookies growing up. You can have a lot of fun customizing them with different nuts, chips, peanut butter styles, etc.
