It was only a rumour at first that "somewhere" biomass farms were at work. The details of which were just to vile to contemplate but now it seems they are on our own doorstep. Some people have noticed a large number of ship kills in Amarr within a 24 hour period, in what should be considered safe space. This included a distressingly high proportion of pod deaths.

 

Almost 100% in fact, of the 121 ships destroyed, 112 were pod killed.

 

There have been suggestions this was a slave revolt but nobody has come forward to validate this claim. Indeed there has been a strange silence over this issue, with nobody wanting to come forward with anything more than "it might have been".

 

And it might have been this, the harvesting of biomass on an industrial

scale.

 

Pilots barely able to fly their ships and with just a few minutes training being flung from the station to be shot down by more experienced pilots then, in cold blood, pod killed and their frozen corpses collected. These corpses are now reaching high prices on the open market.

 

Where there is a profit to be made, a profit will be made, and now it has degenerated to this.

 

Some have suggested this was a mass suicide, raw recruits having been given the illegal drug "drop" killing themselves for the "greater good" and that the shooting was because some of these people failed to die by their own hands.

 

Has the market really turned some people to this ghastly isk making business on such a large scale?

 

Has the cost of a life fallen so low in this universe and the price of a corpse risen so high?
