Halie Loren's jazz album, They Oughta Write a Song, won "Best Vocal Jazz Album" in the 2009 Just Plain Folks Music Awards! This year's award winners were chosen from submissions of over 42,000 albums and over a half million songs from 163 countries. See the News page for more details!

Just Plain Folk Awards Nominations! (Posted Wednesday, July 15)

Halie's CD, They Oughta Write a Song, has been nominated for "Vocal Jazz Album" in this year's Just Plain Folk Awards! Also nominated: Pieces of Me ("Contemporary Song" category) and A Tree Falls ("New Folk Song" category).
