Have you ever wanted to improvise, but not really known where to start? Have you played some piano before and want to get back into it? Maybe you have never even played a note. Well, Sean has been teaching professionally for six years - students of all levels from ages 6 to 50. He specializes in teaching jazz, blues, rock, and all other modern styles, but also realizes the value of a strong musical foundation by starting with the fundamentals.

Music is absolutely essential in all our lives. Everyone can relate to music on some level. Playing music engages both sides of the brain. The left side is engaged in reading and analyzing numbers, while the right side recognizes patterns and exercises creativity. Music teaches work ethic, discipline, and most important - how to develop a passion for something.

In addition to being a private teacher, Sean is also an experienced clinician. Sean has visited numerous High Schools to work with their Big Bands. Just let him work with your band and he'll get them swinging! He was also in charge of the Jazz Combo program at Northern Illinois in 2004-05.
