There are many opportunities in Southern Arizona to fly paragliders,
hang gliders, paramotors, and ultra-lights in big mountain air or glassy
smooth evening wonder winds. Most locals foot launch in the mountains, but
there are a few tow rigs around for those light and variable high pressure days.
Come to a club meeting,
which are held monthly. See our calendar for information on
the next regularly scheduled meeting. If you are planning on flying in
the Phoenix area, check out the
Arizona Hang Gliding Association site.
Contact
Dixon White at Airplay Paragliding School
if you are headed to Flagstaff.
If you're flying elsewhere in the country, refer to the USHGA.
If you fly hang gliders, e-mail Eric Smith
at Arizona Airfoils. If you fly paramotors, refer to David Cook's Powered Paragliding
site. If you sky dive or are interested in a tandem jump, contact Mic Sherwood at Sports Aloft Rigging.
