Regarding Status

This document is to be used as a guideline on status approvals of player characters in the Requiem and Awakening venues.  It has been developed concerning the mechanics for gaining Clan, Covenant, and Order status. 

When referring to dots of status, the document is referring to the combined dots of status held by all characters supporting the person applying for a status promotion. 

Application:

Status 1-2:

This is the suggested method for determining if a player character has the support to hold a particular level of status for the first and second dot.  This is only low approval and does not require an application on the database.  For the first dot of status should have 3-5 levels of status support.  This would be needed to recruit an unaligned vampire to the Covenant or an apostate mage to an Order.  The second dot of status should have 7-10 levels of status support.  There should be approximately 1 month times new dot of status being purchased of time before the player can attempt to purchase their next dot of status.  At this time, the character does not need support from outside of the domain.

Status 3:

This is the suggested method for determining if a player character has the support to hold the third dot of status.  This is Mid Approval and requires an application on the database.  The character should have between 12-15 levels of status support; some of this support should come from outside of the domain as well as those who reside in the same domain as the player character.  There should be three months of time passed since the player purchased the second dot of status.

Status 4:

This is the suggested method for determining if a player character has the support to hold the forth dot of status.  This is High Approval and requires an application on the database.  The character should have at least 20 levels of status support.  For each additional status 4 member of the same group with in the domain, they need 5 more levels of additional support.  There should be regional support for this character as well at least one supporter from outside of the region.  At least 4 months should have passed since the purchase of the third dot of status.

Status 5:

This is the suggested method for determining if a player character has the support to hold the fifth dot of status.  This is Top Approval and requires an application on the database.  The character should have 30 levels of status support.  For each additional status 5 member of the same group with in the region, they need 5 more levels of additional support.  There should be strong national support and possibly some international support to back this application.  At least 5 months should have passed since the purchase of the forth dot of status.

There may be other requirements as set by the NST.
