I guess this will unfortunately be our farewell to WCPT. We try very hard to help those in need, much to the detriment of our own financial success, because we care. We thought coming here to advertise our family owned and operated business, to meet other like-minded people with progressive ideas and liberal minds, would be the ideal location to expand our reach to help the community with our charity minded business. Most of the profit from this business is turned right around to help expand the number of groups we can assist. When you give away in discounts and donations almost 30% of your gross income it doesn't leave much room for error or allow extra time for advertising to take hold. Unfortunately you the listeners have not responded to our attempt to reach out though WCPT to help your favorite groups, either through your own purchases or requesting our assistance with your fundraisers. Unless there is an obvious change of interest and support coming from this audience we will be forced to discontinue our funding of this network. While it will be very disappointing to move on, it will be necessary to continue our work of making our resources available to charity and nonprofit groups in this area and beyond. There is still time to make a difference and show us this is where we need to stay. I believe in this station and its listeners. Please make this advertising successful so we can stay and continue to support this station and help our community.
