These make the store-bought ones taste like cardboard. I suppose you could make your own Mounds or Almond Joy candy bars.

In a saucepan, mix 1 cup honey and 1 cup light corn syrup. Boil to 230F. Stiffen with 5 to 6 cups unsweetened macaroon coconut. Let cool completely, roll into small balls and dip in melted, colored fondant or chocolate. Set in paper cups to store and give.
