In medium sauce pan, combine 4 envelops Knox gelatin, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 and 1/2 cups cold water, and 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Stir constantly over low heat until chocolate is melted and gelatin is dissolved. Pour into 8 or 9" square pan and chill to firm. Cut into 1" squares, makes 6 dozen.
