Cinnamon Rolls

About a dozen

This is how I learned from my Mother. Start with plain, homemade bread dough or thawed frozen dough. Use enough for one loaf. Roll out pretty thin and let rest for a few minutes.

Spread soft butter or margarine all over it, thick or thin, depending on your tastes and diet. Sprinkle on white sugar or brown sugar in an even layer. Sprinkle cinnamon over this and add raisins and/or chopped nuts.

Roll up as for a jelly roll, wide side to wide side. Grease or spray a pan with sides, or muffin tins. Cut the roll into about 12 pieces. Place cut side down in pan/s. Let rise until double.

Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes.

If you have a really sweet tooth, mix powdered sugar with water and vanilla until soupy and spoon this over the top while still hot. Keep notes on how you really like it done.
