Fudge Pudding Cake9 servings ~ the Betty Crocker Microwave CookbookYou can make half, as it is not as good leftover as it is fresh. ~ M.
Do this ahead of time and assemble and cook at the last minute. Have a 2 qt. casserole ready. Stir into the large
bowl: Optional additions; 1 cup chopped nuts or 1/2 cup peanut butter. Spread into the casserole; sprinkle the small bowl's contents over this. Pour over all 1 3/4 cup hot water. Microwave: on a rack, 50% power (med) uncovered, 9 minutes. Give it a quarter turn. Cook on 100% (high) another 5 to 7 minutes, until the top is almost dry. Regular Oven: in an 8 or 9 " square pan, 350F for 45 minutes. I used to put this in the oven just before dinner was served. Good with cream, whipped cream, ice cream, canned milk, or by itself. I tried half a recipe, in a 1 qt. bowl in my 1500 watt microwave. It took about 8 minutes at 50%. Note; restir the dry topping or you may get dry lumps. Will let you know how one fourth a recipe goes, later. ~ M. |
