Spanish Eyes

Blue, Spanish eyes
Tear drops are falling from your Spanish eyes
Please, please don't cry
This is just adios and not goodbye,

Soon I'll return
Bringing you all the love your heart can hold
Please say "Si, si"
Say you and your Spanish eyes will wait for me.

Blue, Spanish eyes
Prettiest eyes in all of Mexico
True, Spanish eyes
Please smile for me once more before I go.

Soon I'll return
Bringing you all the love your heart can hold
Please say "Sí, sí"
Say you and your Spanish eyes will wait for me

You and your Spanish eyes will wait for me

Thanks for the visit; hope you enjoyed this one.

Spanish Eyes performed by Al Martino

(Note: Al Martino had a roller coaster career, even at one time being interrupted by the Mafia and he moved to Europe. On his return to America, he was still met with up and down success until 1966. In 1966, Martino recorded what would become his signature song, "Spanish Eyes," an adaptation of an instrumental piece by German conductor/composer Bert Kaempfert originally titled "Moon Over Naples." Although "Spanish Eyes" only made number 15 on the pop charts, it spent a month at number one easy listening, found tremendous success all across Europe, and was covered by countless other traditional pop artists over the years. The album of the same name went gold and became Martino's third (and final) Top Ten LP.)(Additional info: many people think the name of this song is Blue Spanish Eyes and it is oft times referred to that way, but the official name is Spanish Eyes.)
