... about me

I'm the Deputy Marshal of the infamous Hole-in-the-Head Gang located in the Sarasota/Manatee County area of Floridas Gulf Coast. We enact a train robbery of the 1880's about 4 times a year at the Florida Gulf Coast Railway Museum located in Parrish Florida. See the links section for their site. Watch for the Steam Train event in February!!

I also shoot in Cowboy Action Shooting Competitions (CAS). I always try to attend the Last Stand held at the Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club in Orlando. Sponsored by the Wewahootee Vigilance Committee.

... my family

My pard and spouse is Carolina Kate. She's got her own guns, boots and spurs. She's mighty proud of her spurs! And she looks great in her 1893 Silk Ball Gown. It was designed by the late Ms Vicky Holden, Costume Designer for the FSU/Asolo Performing Arts Center.

... my work

We are an all volunteer re-enactment group, specializing in the time period from 1850 to 1901. Old West or Military impressions are our specialty. We dress authentically, carry appropriate firearms and equipment and act appropriate to the time. We use professionally produced blanks and, if appropriate, can provide a pyrotechnic display blowing up a strongbox. Any fees to be paid are for the blanks and materials used during the Event. Our members must be "fed and watered" by the Event.

We're generally available, if contacted in advance, to provide "color" or "ambiance" at your Western related Event, Reunion, Wedding, Barn Raising, etc. Try to give us at least 60 days notice and we'll get cracking to see what we can do for you. We strive to make sure everybody has a good time, and safety is no option with us. It's our first rule!

... my interests

I also have a side business as a Gunsmith/Armorer of Old West style guns and a Leathercrafter of Holsters/Belts etc. for a Cowboy on a budget. My leather is 9oz vegetable tanned leather with no or little markings. Colors are Saddle Tan, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, Cordovan and Black. I am just starting to get into carving. You can see my website at www.crackercreekglw.com for my shop, Crackercreek Gun & Leather Works.
