The following is a quick way to assess for possible substance abuse. Ask yourself the following questions and answer as truthfully as you can.

tried to decrease your alcohol or drug use?
Have you ever felt uncomfortable by comments made by others in regards to your alcohol or drug use? Has your alcohol or drug use ever made you feel guilty or remorseful? Have you ever used alcohol or drugs first thing in the morning to help yourself get over the “hangover” effects of yesterday’s alcohol or drug use? |
A positive answer to any of these questions could indicate a substance use problem and I encourage you to seek further evaluation.
