What does WINGS stand for?

W.I.N.G.S. is an acronym and it stands for Welcome IN God’s Spirit. In addition, each member has found their own personal meaning in being a member of WINGS. 

 

How do I become a WINGS member?

Enclosed in this flyer is a membership form. Just fill that out and send it back with a check for $45.00 payable to St. Joan of Arc Youth Group. Mail the form and check to St. Joan of Arc Youth Group, 101 Evans road, Marlton, NJ 08053.

 

What does the $45.00 membership fee cover?

Membership fees cover the costs to run the Youth Group.  This includes mailings, supplies,and snacks and drink provided at events. Also, some of the cost of dances, special events, and trips are offset for WINGS members. For example, WINGS members pay $3.00 for a dance while non-members pay $5.00.

 

What is the E-Board?

The E-board (Executive Board) is a group of teens who help the Youth Minister with the scheduling of events. They also take suggestions from the teens and try to make them happen!

 

What are Teen Leaders?

Teen leaders are teens who help the Youth Minister and the other adult advisors run the small groups. The Senior Teen Leaders are there to help Youth Minister make sure that calls are being made to the teens in every small group.

The teens participate in social, athletic, community service, spiritual, Diocesan activities and several overnight functions. As a member of W.I.N.G.S., you can expect to have the opportunity to participate in any of the following activities:

                                                            *Chat Nights

                                                            *Movie Nights

*Activities with other Youth Groups

                                                            *Small Group Olympics                                   

                                                            *Dance Marathon

 

Community Service:              *Road clean up for Evans Road

                                                            *Carnival: parking; characters

*Salvation Army Christmas Party for Children of Camden

co-hosted by WINGS and the Penn State Club

*Assist at local soup kitchen

 

Spiritual:                                       *Passion Play

                                                            *Living Manger

                                                            *Fall Retreat

                                                            *Junior/Senior Retreat

                                                           

Diocesan:                                    *Retreats

                                                            *Youth Rally at Great Adventure

                                                            *Youth Conference at Georgian Court College
