"Sunday,
the rediscovery of this day is a grace which we must implore,
not only so that we may live the demands of faith to the full, but also so that we may respond concretely to the deepest
human yearnings.
Time given to Christ is
never time lost, but is rather time gained"
(Day of the Lord,
Pope John Paul II, 7).

In the family, children learn to believe what their parents’ words and example teach about God, and parents enrich their own faith by participating in the formal religious education of their children for example, by preparing them to receive the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation. The members of a parish grow in fellowship by coming together to worship God and by making a shared response of faith on occasions of joy and stress. Creating readiness for growth in community through worship and through the events of everyday life is an integral part of the task of catholic education, which also seeks to build community within its own programs and institutions.
Parents are “the first to communicate
the faith to their children and to educate them,”
(Apostolate of the Laity, 11)
but the Christian community must make a
generous effort today to help them fulfill their duty. This is
particularly true in regard to religious education.

OUR Prayers
Prayer is the raising of the heart and mind to God. We can pray in many ways and at any time because God is everywhere and always hears us.
We can pray using our own words or by just by being quiet in His presence. We can pray with the words given us by the Church -prayers that have come down to us over many centuries

We participate in the
Child Lures Prevention Program
To establish an understanding that the vast majority of people are
decent, caring individuals who are protective of youngsters.
To assure students that laws exist to protect their safety because
sexual abuse and harassment are against the law.
To advise students that they have rights too, including a right to
live free of abuse.
To encourage students to rely on a combination of critical
thinking and instincts to help ensure their personal safety.
To encourage students to take safety precautions while enjoying
the many advantages of being online.
To nurture each youngster's sense of individual worth and urge
them to recognize and respect the worth of others.
To strive for kinder, more tolerant students in an effort to lower
the incidence of all forms of school violence.
To promote disclosure of any type of abuse or threat to a
youngster's safety.
To assure youngsters with thoughts of abusing others that help is
available.
To reduce the feelings of guilt and blame often felt by survivors
of abuse.
To encourage parents to take an active role in the personal safety
education of their children.
