Blog Your Book - it'a easy!!

Share your book opinions whenever it’s convenient for you!  Here’s how...

1 – Open up your Internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)

2 – Get to the North Media Center site (http://students.resa.net/nmsmc/) and click on the Destiny Library Catalog Link – be sure to select “North Middle School.”.

3. Exit "Destiny Quest" and use the regular catalog.

4- Click on the small “Log-In” button (top right)
You may need to create a new account even if you had one last year (we had an upgrade.)
Click on “Login”

5. Click on the “Catalog” tab at the top of the page and search for the book you would like to comment on. For example, in keyword search, if I wanted to leave a comment about “How to Kill a Mockingbird”, I can type a distinguishing word from the title – like “mockingbird” and click the enter key or the keyword button on the page.

6  Then choose the title from the resulting list by clicking on the “Details” tab.

 7  Now click the “Reviews” tab at the top of the page

Click the “Add Review” tab on the right.

TO ADD STARS: Just highlight the number of stars you think the book deserves – the higher number of stars, the better the book – from Poor to Awesome!

TO ADD A REVIEW: Just click in the box and type. It doesn’t have to be fancy or long - just be honest. Try to tell what you did or didn’t like about the book. Did you think the characters acted in like real people? Was the setting realistic? Was it exciting? Dramatic? Boring and slow? What could have made it better? More description? A bowl of popcorn? Ice cream always makes my books more interesting! DON"T give the ending away unless you label your review "SPOILER ALERT."

Be sure to click save before you leave the review page!
