SH004-This
is a Map horn with chip carving. It is a lip horn, used to attach the
carrying strap. This horn is about 15 inches long. They were used from
1750 to 1785. Engraving ranged from military to traditional hunting scenes
and slogans about liberty. |
SH005-This
is a flattened horn that can be between 6 and 11 inches in length. They
are made to carry on the side or in the pocket of a hunting coat. Usually
they are engraved with modern style wildlife, such as bear, turkeys, deer,
squirrels, elk and other wildlife. This style horn is the most popular. |
SH006-This
is a Shot Flask for use with a smoothbore. The mechanical spout measures
the amount of shot. The size of the horn can vary depending on the amount
of shot to be stored. They can be engraved with modern wildlife or traditional
scenes. The mechanical spout is a copy of an original. |
