Painted Toast Pizza Puffs
Tuna-Apple Sandwich Quick Quesadillas
Graham Ice Cream Sandwiches

Painted Toast

2 Tbsp. milk, 2%, for each color
2 drops food coloring for each color
slices of white bread, enough for everyone
  1. Put milk and food coloring into cups and stir.
  2. Using a clean paint brush, decorate your bread. You can write messages or make patterns. Don’t paint the whole piece of bread, just decorate it.
  3. Let the bread dry for 10 minutes.
  4. Toast the bread. The painted part will be a bright color, and the rest of the bread will be brown.
  5. Lightly spread some margarine on your toast and enjoy!

Pizza Puffs

1 (8-oz.) package of 8 crescent rolls
½ cup spaghetti or pizza sauce
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Spray a muffin tine pan with cooking spray.
  3. Smash the crescent roll dough into 8 holes of the muffin tin pan.
  4. Spoon some sauce on top of each roll.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top of the sauce.
  6. Bake rolls for 8-10 minutes.
Makes 8 pizza puffs

Tuna-Apple Sandwich

6-oz. can tuna, packed in water
1 small apple, peeled and sliced in chunks
1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
6 slices sandwich bread

  1. In small bowl, combine tuna, apple chunks, and mayonnaise.
  2. Mix well.Spread mixture on bread.

Makes 3 servings

Quick Quesadillas

8 8-inch tortillas
½ cup refried beans
¾ cup shredded cheese (any variety)
salsa, optional

  1. Place 1 Tbsp. of beans on each tortilla.
  2. Top with shredded cheese.
  3. Fold tortilla in half.
  4. Microwave on high for 15-20 seconds until cheese is melted.
  5. Serve with salsa, if desired.

Makes 8 servings

Graham Ice Cream Sandwiches

4 graham cracker squares
½ cup ice cream, sherbet or frozen yogurt of your choice, slightly softened
candy sprinkles, optional

  1. Place ¼ cup ice cream on one graham cracker square, and top with a second to make a "sandwich".
  2. Dip the edges of the "sandwich" in candy sprinkles, mini-chips or nuts for an extra fun snack.
  3. Eat your sandwich right away or wrap it in place wrap and freeze until you are ready to eat it.

Makes 2 ice cream sandwiches
