In today's world, the media has become highly selective as to what stories
are presented to the public. Often, the content of the publicized stories is sufficiently
distant from the truth, as the involved parties know it, that an accurate picture is not
presented in the expected tradition of American journalism. Thus, this site is dedicated
to the most meaningful presentation of aviation safety issues.
This site is not an attack on the media; it simply acknowledges the obvious limitations
of the media. The media is unconditionally welcome to the contents of this site and any
supporting information. This site in not a sounding-board for those labeled as 'the disgruntled;'
it is not about revenge.
In the airline industry, it is well known that accidents and incidents are very commonly made to
mysteriously 'disappear' from history in the infamous "Orwellian" style. Those who are 'unconnected' suffer the reverse; their
events become well known. More often, such accounts are crafted in the same Orwellian style, depicted in the 1948 book, "1984." As a consequence, aviation safety suffers badly.
In the current time frame, mandatory "Service Difficulty Reports" are commonly NOT filed with the FAA - a felony under Title 18. While the issue is well protested; there are few who will
acknowledge the issue; and fewer who care.
It is the sincere hope of the individuals involved with this Web site that those who learn of
significant safety matters contact us, ensuring that accountability is brought to bear and safety
is thus achieved.
