Yes, we need YOUR
help!
If you have been part of our ultra-running community you are
hopefully
aware of that most of the races you run depend on volunteer efforts. If
you are new, great! We are welcoming every new soul that enjoys running
for long times through our georgeous landscapes, and we are certainly
welcoming you if you'd like to share some of your spare time with us.
In order to put on a successful Skyline 50k every year, we
need a lot
of hands, and not only on race day. Well in advance (at the start of
the calendar year) the preparations for the race start with securing
sponsorhips, obtaining permits, promoting the event, and getting good
deals on the things that make up the goody bags and awards.
Once,
we get closer to the event, we'll need hands to:
Sort aid station supplies
Stuff goody bags
Mark the course
On
race day we'll need:
Help at the start line,
e.g. setting up, registration, etc.
Runners who check the
course markings (before and during the race)
Aid station personnel
Course sweeps
Help at the Finish Line
(food, timing, awards, and much more)
After
3:30pm our work does not stop:
We need to clean the
picnic area
and to clean all the
utensils that were used before they get moldy
