Teaching Philosophy

Through my experiences in the classroom I have gained a positive approach to teaching. I have learned to practice patience when dealing with my students, and to remain flexible in order to confront the ever-changing world of the classroom. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and I feel this strength helps motivate my students and encourages them to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and values that will strengthen their development.

I also feel that I exercise fairness when dealing with a culturally diverse population. I have made it a practice to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and to expect greatness in all of my students. I also understand that a student's greatness may not always be in their finished product but in the effort they put forth to succeed.

As I reflect on the highlights of my experiences I know that the teacher I aspire to be will remain patient, flexible, fair, and enthusiastic in the classroom. I hope to continue to be a positive role model for my students, initiating motivation and contributing to their overall development.
