Personal information

I am an avid sailor and am available, on a limited basis with individuals who are competent off-shore sailors, as a crew member to help in delivery and cruises as my schedule permits. I am competent in modern off-shore navigation, helm and general sailing (and wish to learn older celestial navigation) and own my own boat on the Great Salt Lake. Every summer, my wife and I visit our friends on the Island on Bequia (part of St. Vincents and the Grenadines) and sail, snorkel and scuba in the region of the Tobago Cays. I welcome correspondence from individuals who want to know more about Bequia and who might be interested in either sailing in the Lesser Antilles on traditional sloops or modern yachts or elsewhere (Mexico, trans-Pacific, etc.).

I have attached a picture of Professor Golding at play on Bequia for friends. If you are trying to reach me at the numbers/addresses listed on my vita, and cannot do so and it is either summer or Spring regatta time (April), I can probably be reached c/o Val Whitney at the Village Apartments on Bequia (this is an excellent place to stay, by the way; tell Val to put out the word and I'll be contacted).
