DONNA BURNS

Donna is a York County native and graduated from Dover High School. She earned her Bachelor's of Science Biology Secondary Education from York College of Pennsylvania and her Master's of Education in Teaching and Curriculum from Pennsylvania State University. She is the final year of a Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership through Duquesne University and plans to graduate this summer.

She is presently a Biology/AP Biology teacher at Northeastern High School in Manchester, PA. She is an assistant coach for the
Northeastern Boys' Volleyball team. She is also the Director of the Bobcat Pride Summer Transition Program. 

Donna attended playground as a child from ages 5 – 16 at Springettsbury’s Kingston Playground. As an adult, she worked as a
Director of Dover Playgrounds for 10 years, and served as the Program Coordinator for 3 of those years. She has been a Director and Co-coordinator for Manchester Playgrounds since 2000. 

Donna plays volleyball year-round in two indoor leagues (winter) and two sand leagues (summer). She has been playing volleyball for 18 years. She is also the captain and roller for her Adult Kickball Team.  She is an avid reader and loves spending time with her family, friends and dogs. She has four furry children: two dogs (Australian Shepherds), Kobie and Raven and two cats, Sierra and Dre-dyn.
