AMSOIL ATF - The Premium Automatic Transmission Fluid
Of all the stresses that ATF
encounters, heat is the most destructive. In fact, transmission
life expectancy is directly related to how well the fluid is able
to disperse heat and withstand temperatures within normal
operating conditions.
As this chart illustrates,
most automatic transmission failures are caused by heat. When
conventional petroleum fluid temperatures exceed 200° F, they
break down, causing seals to crack and leaks to occur.
Approximately every 20 degree increase in temperature reduces a
transmissions life expectancy by 50 percent! Its easy
to see why it is so important to use a quality transmission
fluid that can disperse this heat effectively, especially when
every 20 degree drop in oil temperature will double both the life
of the fluid and the transmission.
AMSOIL has designed an ATF
that covers all of the major auto manufacturers
specifications and even those of several foreign and specialty
manufacturers as well. AMSOIL ATF is the only fluid that meets
the requirements for all GM, Ford, Chrysler, Allison, Voith,
Commercial, Opel and GM Strasbourg vehicles and components.
AMSOIL ATF can also replace many manufacturer brand named
fluids.
AMSOIL ATF offers superior
high and low temperature performance. It cools and protects hot
running transmissions towing heavy loads far better than
conventional fluids. For cold weather applications, it remains
fluid down to -72° F to improve sub-zero performance and fuel
economy. It can also improve shifting by keeping transitions
between gears smooth.
AMSOIL ATF is also highly
resistant to thermal breakdown and oxidation. It offers the most
complete protection for equipment from damaging sludge and
varnish deposits. By acting as an excellent heat dispersal
system, AMSOIL ATF can actually deliver up to three times the
service life of petroleum fluids.
AMSOIL ATF is the perfect
fluid for those who anticipate towing heavy loads in high heat
over summer driving conditions. It is also the recommended ATF
fluid for those who work their vehicles hard during the winter
months, for example, plowing snow.
