Daisy Cutters Hockey
Daisy Cutters Logo

The Daisy Cutters is an ice hockey team that plays in the Greater Seattle Hockey League (GSHL). This team was created Spring 2004 as a companion team to BLU-82. We share our uniform, basic logo design, and a few players with BLU-82, a Division 4C team, and The Bomb, a Division 6B team. At present, the Daisy Cutters play in Division 5B.

The GSHL provides each team with a league sponsored home page. The stats and results posted there are the official ones (though they aren't necessarily correct, some corrections have been made for this site).

Why the "Daisy Cutters"? The seemingly incongruous name "Daisy Cutters" comes from our association with BLU-82 hockey. Outside of the hockey world, BLU-82 is a very large conventional bomb which is also known as the "daisy cutter". (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BLU-82 for more information about the BLU-82/Daisy Cutter bomb.) When a second team was formed with connections to BLU-82, the Daisy Cutters seemed like a logical choice for the team name.
