We really do live in a very small house. But as the saying goes; "A house is what you make it". So, we've tried to utilize every square in our home to fill it full of things that interest us and serve our needs. About the only thing we are really lacking around here is more closet space!

We truly enjoy our theater every chance we get. It's a wonderful place to watch movies, see sporting events and to view music concert videos. It brings a whole, new meaning to "listening to music". It's even a great way to enjoy HD television shows such as 'Lost' and '24'. We are so happy that we went through the toll and expense to build our theater.

Special Thanks:

We'd like to thank 'Home Theater / Audio Video Interiors' Magazines for doing the feature story on our little theater. We were thrilled to see it on the bookstands in the store! We also wish to thank Daniel J. Kmiecik for his contribution of photography for our article. Daniel J's other work can be viewed on his personal site: onyonet.com

Many people have asked us, "What's the loudest volume the theater has ever attained?" The answer is, during the movie, 'Behind enemy lines', the theater hits some energy that can reach 123 db measured at the seats and "C-weighted" using a digital read-out sound level meter. That is with our theater receiver volume control set to -10 db, which is where we view most movies (some require a lower setting as many movies are mixed at different levels).

Interests:

This site all started as just a Home Theater hobbyist's site. I also dabble in Web Development, Photography, Photo retouching and Video Production and Post-Production work. I generally work in the MiniDV format shooting in High Definition or HDV. I have shot numerous events including weddings. I also enjoy shooting scenery and wildlife in the field and I have lots of footage that I shot in Alaska. I am also interested in doing theater designs for other individuals and I have learned much from completing projects of my own.

Our Post-Production Studio:

My wife also does her genealogical (family tree) research in our office and there is plenty of room for us both to use the room at the same time. She has about 20 years of experience in research and is very knowledgeable.
