The Transformation:

We've lived in our little, "1943 Michigan Bungalow" since the beginning of 1979. We've raised two children in this house, who are now adults and as we approach our retirement years we really have no valid reason to "go-large" relative to our home now that the "nest" is empty. So, we decided back in 1998 to totally remodel our "Small House" inside-and-out into the "Neo-Modern" home you see displayed below:

I personally have been an "Audiophile" (and a musician) since the 1960's. I have always searched for the best components I could afford in speakers, amplification and the like. My wife and I have been married for over 30 years. Trust me: It is totally an advantage to have as understanding a wife as I do! She must REALLY love me. Either that, or she really did know what she was getting into when she married me!

With that said, we did the outside of the house and then the living room and kitchen. Then, our attention was shifted towards the basement. We needed a dual home office, a second bathroom (how on earth did we make it all of these years with only ONE BATHROOM???), and, the one thing that we both REALLY wanted: Our own HOME THEATER!!
