(BELOW PHOTOS) Please consider the photos below as a "poor man's panorama of how the walk-in closet (to the left), bathroom (middle) and bar sink area (to the right) have roughed-in. The white wall with the switch plate to the extreme left is the stairway leading up to the first floor of the house. Notice the "Tower-of-Power has been installed into the closet. That cardboard you see is a protective paper that's glued to the black-smoke colored Plexiglas door of the cabinet. You can also see there is now a florescent light in the bathroom as well as the plumbing is roughed-in and there is also a ceramic tile floor laid. The bar sink plumbing is also roughed in. All of the plumbing rough-in was done by a licensed subcontractor and it did involve breaking up portions of the cement floor to install the drain traps for the sinks, shower and toilet. Everything else, including wiring and drywall is done by myself and with the help of my son.

The Rough-in Begins:

Construction began on the rough-in of the walk-in closet and bathroom (left photo below). The closet is to the left and the bathroom is to the right along the back wall of the basement. All of those wires you see hanging down on the left are our communications wiring. This includes telephone, cable and CAT-5E Networking cable. They will be routed into a home media box before the completion of the theater. The box will also house our Niles Multi-room Infrared repeating system, and a hospital-grade, filtered line voltage power supply.

In the right photo below, you see the delivery of our 6-1/2 foot relay rack that is to be installed in our walk-in closet to house all of our theater electronics (it's huge!). This cabinet has been affectionately named the "Tower-of-Power" by my brother-in-law. Yes, it is sitting in my wife's parking space. Trust me...I moved it right away!

Unwrapped. It's HUGE!
