Peter Davison hosts a trip through the BBC Archives to view three rare
episodes from the missing years of the series that
feature the Doctor's most popular adversaries: the
Daleks.
1 & 2. The Daleks' Master Plan - Episode 5 (Counter Plot)
and Episode 10 (Escape Switch)
These are the only two surviving
episodes from this twelve-part Dalek epic. In the fifth episode,
the Doctor and
Steven try to escape the
forces of Mavic Chen and his allies, the Daleks, and are accidentally teleported
to the
jungle planet Mira.
In the tenth episode, the pursuit has continued into the past, to ancient
Egypt, and the Doctor's
old enemy, the Meddling
Monk, has become involved. Starring William Hartnell as the Doctor.

3. The Evil of the Daleks - Episode 2
This is the only surviving episode
from this seven-part story. The Doctor and Jamie are lured to the
business of
Edward Waterfield and spirited
100 years back in history to Victorian times, where the Daleks plan to
force the
Doctor to conduct a test
on Jamie. Starring Patrick Troughton as the Doctor.

Also included are interviews with Terry Nation (the writer who created
the Daleks), Raymond Cusick (the BBC designer
who originally designed and built the Daleks), Roy Skelton (Dalek Voice
artist), and John Scott Martin (the most veteran
Dalek Operator of them all). Also included are trailers and clips
from other Dalek stories from the black and white era,
and footage from the Dalek movies that starred Peter Cushing.
