On the outer reaches of the universe in the far future, the TARDIS is forced down on the planet

Frontios, where they find a struggling colony of some of the last surviving humans under constant

bombardment from the skies above.  The Doctor and his companions come to understand their

plight much better when they themselves are marooned there too as the TARDIS is destroyed

during one such attack....
