The middle two episodes of this story on VHS used to have very poor image
quality due to the multiple standards conversions
the master tapes had to go through. A new process has been devised that greatly
improves the quality called
Reverse
Standards Conversion, and these episodes now look
almost as good as the other two episodes do.

“Deleted and Extended Scenes”
A 27-minute featurette assembled from a rare surviving “studio

production nights. It thus includes many
behind-the-scenes
moments, multiple takes of scenes, and some scenes that were
cut. It also comes with an optional
information text
subtitle feature that commentates and informs you on what
you’re being shown.

“Now and Then”
A 6-1/2 minute featurette showing the outdoor locations from the
film shoots in the present day and
contrasting them with how they appeared in the 1971 program.

“Reverse Standards Conversion” A 10-minute featurette narrated by
Jack Pizzey that explains and demonstrates the vastly
improved process of converting material in the American TV
standard to the British one and vice versa, as used on this DVD.
