The Doctor arrives in an alien jungle, where he meets a young warrior woman named Leela, cast

out from the Tribe of Sevateem for speaking out against an ongoing holy war being fought to free

the "god" Xoanon.  He is surprised to find that the tribe think that he is the Evil One who holds

Xoanon prisoner, and he is further confused by the face on a massive idol of the Evil One carved

into a nearby mountainside, for it is his own....

 

This story marks the debut of Louise Jameson as Leela.
