Special Video.   Title: The Hartnell Years

Sylvester McCoy hosts a trip through the BBC Archives to view three rare episodes from the missing portions of William
    Hartnell's era as the Doctor
1.    An Unearthly Child - pilot version
This was the first "take" at recording a Doctor Who episode.  It was rejected and never transmitted, but somehow
survived the film purges at the archives.
2.    The Crusade - episode three (The Wheel of Fortune)
This is the third episode of this four-part story that until January 1999 was the only surviving episode left in the BBC
Archives (the first was found in Jan. 1999 in New Zealand - yay!)
In it, the Doctor and Vicki must tread carefully in the camp of King Richard at the time of the first Crusade, while
Ian crosses the desert to attempt to rescue Barbara from the Saracans who kidnapped her...
from Serial P, Episode No. 66. Originally transmitted on 10 April 1965 on BBC1.
3.    The Celestial Toymaker - episode four (The Final Test)
This is the only surviving episode from this four-part story.  In it, the Doctor, Dodo, and Steven must each attempt
to pass through the last of the deadly games set to them by the omnipotent, immortal Celestial Toymaker.
from Serial Y, Episode No. 114.  Originally transmitted on 23 April 1966 on BBC1.

Also included are a few other vintage clips from the era of William Hartnell as the Doctor.
